Redirect (1) is similar to forwarding an email to another address with the exception that the body of the email will not appear in quotations.Redirect (2) can also refer to the action of a website taking you to another URL.  This can occur when a website is outdated and you access the old webpage and are then automatically sent to the updated webpage.
