Topology

The configuration of of cables, computers, and other devices in a local area network (LAN) or other communication systems. There are four main types of topologies used:Bus topology- All devices are connected to a central cable, called the bus or the backbone. This topology is inexpensive and primarily used by ethernet systems.Ring topology- All devices are connected to each other so that every device is directly connected to two others. This type is difficult to install and expensive but provides a high bandwidth and spans larger distances.

Internet Security Alliance (ISA)

Internet Security Alliance is a multi-sector trade association that represents an array of organizations concerned with information security from the aviation, banking, communications, defense, education, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, security and technology sectors. ISA's goal is to provide its members with a range of technical, business and public policy services to assist them in fulfilling their mission. Recent ISA activities include developing a 21 century policy platform for government to work productively with industry through a “Social Contract," developing a handbook for CFOs to address corporate cyber events from a financial perspective, and developing standards in conjunction with NIST, for securing the Voice over Internet protocol platform.
