Fan

The main purpose of a computer fan is to cool the system and ensure that the computer does not overheat. Located inside the computer case, it draws in cool air and expels heat or moves cool air through a heat sink to cool a particular component. The use of fans to cool a computer is known as active cooling. Types of fans include the case mount, CPU fan, Graphics card fan, Chipset fan, PCI fan, Hard disk fan, and CD Burner fan.
